HAPPINESS

    I LOVE YOU

HAPPINESS (A VILLANELLE, OF SORTS) Happiness is everywhere. (I see some on my shoe.) Constantly it's in my hair. Never does it seem to care. O, what am I to do? Happiness is everywhere. Should I give it my worst stare? Or must it keep me blue? Constantly it's in my hair. Sometimes, it seems too unfair, although I still can coo: "Happiness is everywhere." Give me some advice that's square. My life's become a zoo. Constantly, it's in my hair. ("It," of course, is that despair Happiness -- whose ways I rue.) Happiness is everywhere. Constantly, it's in my hair. By Bruce Hamilton ©copyright Bruce Hamilton
