BASEBALL TAKES TWO OF THREE AGAINST TIGERS

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA --(4/22/97) The Cal Poly Baseball team (29-14, 8-12) fell to Pacific on Friday, but rebounded to defeat UOP 13-2 on Saturday and 10-6 on Sunday. Scott Kidd (left) went 5-for-5 while Boyd Dodder and Marty Camacho each hit solo homers to led the Mustangs to the win on Sunday.

Shortstop Taber Maier broke the school record for doubles in a season with his 18th on Saturday. As a team, Cal Poly has also set a new record for home runs in a season with 68 in 1997. The old record was previously 57 set back in 1974.

Up next, Cal Poly will travel to Menlo College on Thursday before visiting Sacramento State this weekend . The Mustangs will host Cal State Fullerton next weekend in the final home series of the year. Friday's game will be at 7 p.m. while Sat. and Sun. will begin at 1 p.m.
